Rev. Julia Hamilton has returned to California after ten years on the east coast to serve as the Assistant Minister at the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara. Prior to entering parish ministry, she served as the Director of the Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry of New Jersey, spending more time in Trenton than she ever thought she would. A graduate of Harvard Divinity School, she was co-ordained in 2010 by the First Unitarian Universalist Church of New Orleans and the Fourth Universalist Society in the City of New York. The UUA Tapestry of Faith program recently published her newly authored curriculum (with Rev. Colin Bossen), Resistance and Transformation: Unitarian Universalist Social Justice History. Raised a Unitarian Universalist in New Orleans, Julia has returned to lead volunteer groups working to rebuild the city. Before entering the ministry, Julia worked in theater and television, living in Los Angeles and New York City. Julia shares her life with her husband Adam and their daughter Cassia.
