Stand with Restaurant Workers
October 9th, 2014
Unitarian Universalists are called by faith to act in witness to injustice. On October 9th there will be a national day of action aimed at drawing attention to the unfair treatment of workers at restaurant chains operated by Darden.
As part of a coalition effort, UUJM is coordinating the response by UUs in California for this important event. Click here for details on times and locations.
You may not know Darden by name, but you have probably dined at one of their chains: Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze the Yard House and more are all Darden restaurants. You may also not know that Darden is one of the worst companies in the country when it comes to treatment of their workers. As the world’s largest full-service restaurant company, this cannot continue.
The events on October 9th take only 45 minutes! As few as three people can make a successful action! Call 916-441-0018 ext 101 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how you can take part in this national day of action for restaurant workers.
