LEGISLATIVE TRAININGS & GUIDELINES FOR VISITS
CIPC will schedule our visits with legislative offices based on district information provided by attendees during registration. UUJMCA will be in touch with you to finalize a list of visit facilitators and visit assignments. Assignments will be based only on the registrant's constituency.
CIPC is committed to making sure all participants are prepared for the legislative visits. Advocacy trainings will be offered in Los Angeles and Oakland on April 25th to review the Immigrant Day policy platform, discuss key talking points, and practice mock visits. We encourage all Immigrant Day registrants to attend these trainings. You will receive details on these after registering. Do NOT worry. If you cannot attend these trainings, and even if you can, UUJMCA will host a webinar the first week in May to bring everyone up to speed on what was covered as well as our role as faith-rooted allies.
Buses: Will be leaving from various parts of the state beginning the night before the event. If you are interested in bus transprotation, please register and we will get you that information as soon as it is finalized. This part is managed by our coalition partner and is in flux. All of your registration fees are fully refundable should anything fall through.
Parking - Street parking near the capitol has 1 and 2 hour time limits. We recommend arriving early and parking in one of the garages between 7th and 9th on L Street.
