Hello Governor Brown …

October 12, 2017 by Web Master

… please sign AB208.

Please call Governor Brown NOW (916) 445 2841 .   He has until October 15 to sign all bills for this legislative session.

This important bill will help immigrants ensnared in the criminal justice system, and will also stop certain people from being placed in immigration detention.   AB 208 will change California’s “deferred entry of judgment” to pre-trial diversion. Right now deferred entry of judgment is a dangerous drug “conviction” that has caused thousands of persons charged with simple drug possession to be deported. AB 208 would fix this.

Here is more information on the bill.
