  • PLOGGING FOR OUR PLANET

    Plogging for our Planet

Plogging began in Sweden in 2016. It’s a combination of outdoor exercise while picking up litter. The origin of the word itself is derived from the Swedish language.

As a workout, it provides variation in body movements by adding bending, squatting and stretching to the main action of running, hiking, or walking.

Plogging spread to other countries in 2018, following increased concern about plastic pollution. An estimated 2,000,000 people plog daily in 100 countries and some plogging events have attracted over 3,000,000 participants. Source: Wikipedia

Next time you go for a jog or a walk, take a trash bag & gloves, invite a friend, take photos, and post your results.

  • UUA Justice Reform

    Immigration Justice Month

Just as love knows no borders, our dedication to justice reaches across boundaries and walls. We show up on the side of love with all families, regardless of citizenship status, and strive to create welcoming communities and congregations. We organize and advocate for immigration reform, for an end to detentions and deportations, and for a world where hands are extended in peace and care across borders and no one feels forced to leave home or risk death in pursuit of a decent life for their family. We affirm immigration as a moral issue and have long spoken out in support of immigrant justice.
