Overview
UUJMCA is forming a new team of young justice creators with diverse backgrounds and identities. This team will meet monthly in order to get to know each other and build community.

Description of the Team Arc Benders
The primary function of the Team Arc Benders is to make recommendations to the Vision and Values Team, Board of Trustees, and staff in regards to youth needs and desires for justice programming and to assist with the development and implementation of UUJMCA’s Arc Benders Youth Justice Program. 

General Duties 
Team Arc Benders will be comprised of 7-10 high school age youth (13-18).

The Team will develop a long term plan for youth development in progressive justice movements

The Team will bring ideas, issues, needs, and experiences from their congregation and local communities including schools, and social groups.

The Team will plan specific youth programming and also inform the UUJMCA Board of Trustees, Vision and Values Team, and staff about youth needs for all UUJMCA programming

The Team will be expected to meet monthly and Annual Leadership Meeting.

The Team members shall not receive any compensation for their services beyond any reimbursement for ordinary expenses as defined by Board of Trustees Policy, “Reimbursement for Ordinary Expenses”

Portfolios
Each Team member will hold a particular portfolio (aka focus area).

Qualifications
UUJMCA asks that Team members be high school age youth who attend or belong to a UU Community or congregation and are enthusiastic about progressive justice engagement both locally and statewide across California, embrace shared and team leadership, have strong communications and creative skills, as well as the ability to take initiative and work as a team. Additionally, UUJMCA asks Team members to hold a commitment to UU Values, and progressive justice engagement.

Tools to be Used
Team members will need to be able to use Google Workspace (formerly Google Suite and similar to Microsoft Office).
