Ventura County Economic Justice Summit

February 20, 2016 @ 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM PST

Free

An interactive workshop on the economic issues we all face in our community

Ventura County was named one of the best places to live in the United States.  Yet why are so many struggling to make ends meet? How are working families doing in Ventura County? Who can afford quality childcare?  Why is housing so expensive? How do farm workers support their families? What will raising the minimum wage in California do to help?

During the workshop we will have an opportunity to learn more, and engage in discussions about, the key economic issues that matter to us most in Ventura County.  We will learn about actions we can take and policies we can support to implement solutions that can improve the quality of life for all in the county.

Come on February 20th to hear stories and talk to experts on Ventura County.  Meet others concerned about our community.  Discuss proposals to improve yours and your neighbors’ lives.  Learn how to get involved and have an impact on our community.
